Distilled close to the Moray coast in Speyside, this light, mellow malt was finished in a ruby port cask for three months. Blackberries and cherries on the nose, white grapes in tow. The taste of fruit and berry sweetness. Plus a lightly spicy note. Persists at the back of the palate, with a trace of candied citrus.

The three-month ruby port cask finish adds a lively red berry freshness. A hint of sweetness too. But the fabulous flavour of the original single malt is retained.

Despite being a fairly small region geographically, Speyside holds the mother lode of Scotland’s single malt distilleries. In fact, more than half of all the nation’s whisky houses are situated here. Its drams are prized for their elegance and complexity. Sweet. An array of fruity flavours. Vanilla and oak. The odd smoky note.
