As whisky matures it mellows and tends to acquire a richer flavour profile. Single malts are often aged for over 10 years, but less frequently left to lie past 20. So we’re in popular mid-range territory here. Not as nippy as some younger specimens. Yet punchier than many a more venerable expression.
